It’s the ninth time that the $11 billion energy services holding company has been included on the list of global businesses with the strongest reputations.

“We’re pleased to be recognized again by Fortune on the prestigious ‘Most Admired Companies’ list,” said Jeffrey W. Martin, chairman and CEO of Sempra. “At the core of our success is the strength and diversity of our employees and their commitment to finding new and better ways to serve our customers.”

To compile the list, Fortune partnered with Korn Ferry Hay Group, a global management consulting firm, to survey nearly 700 financial analysts, senior executives and corporate directors throughout the world.

Those surveyed were asked to rank companies based on ability to attract and retain talent, quality of management, social responsibility, innovativeness, quality of products or services, wise use of corporate assets, financial soundness, long-term investment value and effectiveness in doing business globally.

Sempra’s 20,000 employees serve more than 40 million consumers worldwide.
